Wedding ring stolen in burglary

Detectives in Stevenage are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary in the town, in which a wedding ring and other items were stolen.

The crime occurred on Monday 12 October at around 8.10pm, in Drakes Drive. Offenders entered via a ground floor window and carried out a messy search of the house.

A number of items of jewellery were taken, including the wedding ring (pictured) which is described as having a distinctive platinum band with three inlaid diamonds. The inside of the ring is inscribed with ALWAYS & FOREVER.

A quantity of alcohol was also taken.

DC Darren Lomax who is investigating said: “We are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity around the time of the burglary to get in touch.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who thinks they have seen the ring since it was stolen. It is highly likely that it will be sold.”

Anyone with any information that could help officers with their enquiries, is asked to  contact DC Darren Lomax via email – Darren.Lomax@herts.police.uk .
